I am very happy that I got the chance to play for Lierse in the Mechelen derby. I won most of the derbies in my career so far, but this time we came a little bit too short. Our fans took away the bad mood after defeat and it was nice to see and hear their applause after the game ended. The derby was special for me because I scored a goal, my second in Lierse’s shirt. Now we have a new important match ahead of us, we will face Genk.
There is so much going on at the club that I can’t find enough time to explore Lier and Belgium. Lier is a small city with some beautiful, old buildings and with a small town square. A famous sun clock is located nearby. The city center is most enjoyable Saturday mornings, when the square is transformed into a real market. Lier is located near famous and rich city of Antwerpen, although I must admit that Brugge impressed me the most:).
