The year 2014 is coming to an end. Although footballers in the UK don’t have a lot of free time in December, now is the time to look back. It all started in January. I was waiting almost until the end of the transfer period, but I finally moved on loan to Rio Ave. I only had a few basic information, but I really wanted to play, so I was willing to take the risk.
I worked hard and got the chance despite the fact that Rio Ave had eight other strikers available to play. My Portuguese story was very positive. With the goal scored versus Olhanense, the ball ended in Vid Belec’s net, I proved to myself that I’m on the right track. Cup finals were historical for Rio Ave so I was very proud to be a part of that success.
I prepared myself well during the summer. I wanted to be fit for the summer training camp, I realized that the coach will have a great number of strikers in the team. I started the pre-season well, but then injured myself and was forced to rest. I stayed at Cardiff City and I had no other choice than hard work and patience. I didn’t get the chance, so my next challenge is to stay fit and wait for the January transfer period.
